What does treatment involve?

Each organ, structure and system of the body corresponds to specific areas in the feet and is connected by a system of energy which can become congested or blocked.

The Reflexologist uses an acupressure technique to work over these areas and seeks to detect and relax tension and encourage the free flow of energy to help normalize bodily functions and self-healing. Although not a 'cure-all', most conditions respond to treatment.

These include:

  • Muscular tension
  • Back problems
  • Migraine
  • Insomnia
  • Arthritis
  • Asthma
  • Hiatus hernia
  • Emotional problems
  • Bowel problems
  • Stress
  • Tension
  • Menstrual/menopausal problems
  • People with progressive disorders such as MS (multiple sclerosis) and ME (post viral fatique syndrome) can also derive benefit
  • Also of therapeutic value for women in pregnancy and the post natal period

Who can benefit?

The therapy is suitable for most people of all age groups, from babies to the elderly. Reflexology treatment has preventative value because it can detect imbalances at an early stage.

It is not just for those with obvious health problems since an occasional course of treatment is a pleasant way of maintaining health and wellbeing. The treatment usually induces a deep state of reflexology helping to alleviate physical and mental stress considered to be the cause of so much ill health.

Facial Reflexology

Is a unique treatment developed from 3 ancient alternative therapies: Chinese Energy Meridians, Facial Acupuncture, Vietnamese and South American Indian body maps on the face.

Facial Reflexology is a relaxing, healing treatment. By stimulating an area or point on the face, it can have a beneficial effect on the whole body.

It can help people suffering from various types of headaches by releasing muscular tension.

By improving blood circulation in the face, it helps to reverse some of the affects associated with ageing.

It is a gentle, non-invasive therapy.

There are 7 steps in the treatment and different strokes are used at each stage; slow circular strokes on points on the meridians; slow, firm long strokes to identify any deposits in organs of the body; fast, short strokes to stimulate these areas ending the treatment with slow strokes.

Clients are usually very relaxed by the second step and often fall asleep. Treatments last 45 minutes to an hour. At the first treatment a history of the client’s health will be completed.

Reproductive Reflexology

This complementary therapy can help and support those experiencing fertility problems for only a fraction of the cost of conventional medicine. The additional techniques of reproreflexology can help to enhance fertility.
