Nadia Salvadori - Facial Revitalisation Acupuncture.

Nadia has had an interest and passion in using Western Herbs since she was a teenager in Italy, influenced by her mother, who used local herbs, which has been a family tradition for generations. While travelling in Mexico in 1990, Nadia met a herbalist/healer which inspired her to take up natural medicine as a profession. This eventually led her to qualify in Aromatherapy at the Institute of Traditional Herbal Medicine and Aromatherapy in 1992 and in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture in 1997.

Nadia is a Member of the British Acupuncture Council, and in her practice she combines acupuncture with other therapies according to her patients needs. She has successfully treated physical pain, stress anxiety, digestive and sleep problems, menopausal and gynaecological problems, hypertension and headache. Since April 2000, she has been treating people recovering from alcohol and substance misuse at FIRM (Fun In Recovering Management).

Facial Revitalisation Acupuncture

Facial revitalisation acupuncture is a FULL BODY treatment, using acupuncture needles, which will affect the face.

Fine needles are used on the face to smooth out wrinkles. Needles inserted on different parts of the body have a balancing effect on the body + a calming feeling for the mind. A facial massage, using regenerating essential oils and different techniques follows. The treatment is completed with a soothing foot massage.

It can treat Skin Problems (eczema, acne etc), reactions to Fillers and Botox and scarring. It is not a cure for wrinkles, fine lines can be eliminated and deeper wrinkles diminished. It can reduce eye bags and puffiness of the face. It works by improving the muscle tone and elasticity as well as giving you a better hormonal balance which in turn benefits your skin.

Hopi Ear Candles

Nadia also uses Hopi Ear Candles on patients who require them. Ear Candles have been used since ancient times across many civilisations and cultures to treat blocked ears and sinuses and to induce a feeling of relaxation and warmth.

Cupping therapy/ aromatherapy

cupping is used in conjunction with acupuncture or on its own. Warm glass cups are used on the body mainly for pain relief, but also for moving stagnant energy, relaxing tight muscles and releasing toxins. A pulling sensation is felt when the cups are applied on oiled skin. A gentle massage follows the removal of the cups. A blend of essential oils in a base of almond oil is applied to the skin using Swedish massage techniques and pressure points along the acupuncture meridians.
